The story sees some citizens wanting to tear down Gotham’s buildings for profit or progress, others fighting to preserve them. Meanwhile Taylor’s glorious art gives the city a more expansive and impressive look than we’ve ever seen before.
While not dated, this tale takes place in a world with a distinctly 1940s/1950s-ish vibe and a suitably old-fashioned, mostly black and white visual style is adopted.
